LOGAN SCREEN:

Designing and fabricating with Grasshopper.  I used an image of the balcony without a screen and through iterations reduced it to an abstraction.  The fabrication technique selected was water jet cut sheets of uncoated cold-rolled steel.  Having learned from our physical model studies, we used a tab system for structural integrity.  The larger hexagon tabs fold on top of each other and are linked with pop-rivets.  Future demount required it to be constructed in two panels bridged in the center.  The dappled light created a serene and glare-free balcony experience while obviously providing privacy.
