SIMULTANEITY - INTERNATIONAL COLLEGE OF BEIJING (ICB) AGRICULTURAL DEPARTMENT:

The program was to initiate designs that would provide lecture halls, student housing, and open a dialogue between China's ever-evolving and western leaning culture vs holding traditional past values at the core.  This project strikes a metaphor between systems of the body and systems of buildings both aiming at cleaner air, refreshed sense of place and supporting unique infrastructure as the globalizing forces erode the cultural fabric.  Three students were selected to spend 10 days in Beijing to display a gallery of student work, present findings and of course, sightsee for cultural cross-pollination.
